John 14

22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said,
"But, LORD,
why do YOU plan to show yourself to us
and not to the rest of the world?"
23 JESUS answered,
"If people love ME,
they will obey my teaching.
My FATHER will love them,
and WE will come to them
and make our home with them

This was our Psalm response today and i love it:

Ps 27:1, 4, 13-14

One thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord.

The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The LORD is my life’s refuge;
of whom should I be afraid?

R. One thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord

One thing I ask of the LORD
this I seek:
To dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
That I may gaze on the loveliness of the LORD
and contemplate his temple.

R. One thing I seek:
to dwell in the house of the Lord.

I believe that I shall see the bounty of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD with courage;
be stouthearted,
and wait for the LORD.

What are JESUS commands?

Was HE the ONE who spoke the 10 commandments? Or are the commmands we hear HIM give in the new testament HIS only commands?

HIS commands in the new testament were:

1. Love GOD beyond all else

2. Love your neighbor as yourself. (serve your neighbor)

3. Love

4. "Eat my Body... Drink my blood.

12 I tell you the truth,
whoever believes in ME
will do the same things that I do.
Those who believe will do even greater things than these,
because I am going to the Father.
13 And if you ask for anything in my name,
I will do it for you
so that the Father's glory
will be shown through the Son.

I will do it.

Asking in JESUS name
means that we are asking
in HIS will
"THY will be done"
is the password
(the essential attitude)

8 Philip said to him,
"LORD, show us the FATHER.
That is all we need."
9 JESUS answered,
"I have been with you a long time now.
Do you still not know ME, Philip?
Whoever has seen ME has seen the FATHER. ..."

How much clearer did HE need to be?
JESUS is GOD!!
JESUS clearly showed us GOD's love!!
How can we not love HIM in return?

JESUS thank YOU so much for your clear teaching.
Thank YOU for becoming one of us.
Thank YOU for teaching us self-sacrificial love.
Please give me the strength, courage and wisdom to love like you did!!
